At Solitude Float Trips, we specialize in trips down the Snake River so you can take in the spectacular scenery of Grand Teton National Park. Our Grand Teton scenic float trips are well-loved by visitors and locals alike because they offer one of the best ways to experience this awe-inspiring locale.
This is no whitewater rafting trip—with Snake River float trips, you’ll float downriver at a slow, steady pace so you can enjoy all the beauty that surrounds the river. Your Grand Teton National Park scenic float trip begins at Deadman’s Bar, just below the picturesque Snake River Outlook. You’ll be accompanied by an extremely knowledgeable tour guide who will not only navigate the waters, but offer education on the history, geology, and local lore of Jackson Hole. They’ll point out wildlife along the river banks and show you the most impressive peaks of the Teton Range. Two-hour Snake River float trips traverse through an untouched natural landscape with open and forested environments so you can spot a wide variety of animals in their habitats.
You can choose between a standard Grand Teton National Park scenic float trip and a private float trip for you alone or up to 12 guests. Should you book a private float trip, you’ll be able to choose the time, date, and even the topics discussed while you’re on the water, whether it’s native wildlife, Old West legends, or local conservation efforts at Grand Teton National Park.

Why Choose Solitude Float Trips in Jackson Hole
Our Grand Teton scenic float trips are authorized by the National Park Service to float 100% inside Grand Teton National Park along the Snake River – very few outfitters hold permits for Grand Teton National Park float trips, and Solitude Float Trips is honored to be one of them. Our family-owned business puts guest experience at the forefront, focusing on creating the best possible experience for each visitor rather than maximizing the number of Snake River float trips we run each day. The goal of Solitude Scenic Float Trips is to help you create lasting memories and appreciate the beauty of the Grand Tetons and Snake River as much as we do.
